The 2019 Shuler Awards were an incredible experience. My High School, Milton High School, was nominated for several Awards, including Overall Production. Because of this, we had the honor of performing in the awards show. I had the honor of playing the role of Georgia Hendricks in our production of "Curtains". Georgia was an interesting character to portray. She in originally the lyricist of the show within the show, but when the lead character mysteriously is murdered, she is asked to take on the lead role. Her ex husband is the cowriter for the show and they end up rekindling their romance throughout the course of the show. We received several awards including Costume Design (as seen in last picture), which I had the honor of accepting. This concluded my musical theater career at Milton after four years of incredible experiences. I moved forward to finish my last Cirque show, and graduate in the spring of 2019. I love traveling, so I did some of that over the summer before heading into my freshman year at Liberty University.
