Music
The Full Story
Katherine grew up in a musical family and has always had a love for writing songs. She wrote her first full song at the age of 10 entitled "footprints", and from that point on, she found joy in sitting at her piano and creating a story. Moving forward into high school, she started taking lessons specifically regarding songwriting and came out with her first three singles in her junior year of high school. These singles include "Secret", "Jealous", and "Ninety-Nine".

She chose to attend Liberty University to pursue a B.M. Commercial Music: Artist Development degree due to Liberty's specific performance focus, faculty, and opportunities to engage and learn from industry professionals. During her time at Liberty (2019-present), she has released three singles: "Graffiti", "The King is Here", and a duet "Ghost". She has enjoyed broadening her theory knowledge as well as growing through collaborating with other incredible musicians.

She is currently writing a short children's album as a component of her senior thesis. The songs in this album include short jingles with content specific to clinical environments. This short album is set to release in the fall of 2023. All of the singles Katherine has released are available for listening to on the music tab.

Her song "Graffiti" will appear on the show "These Stones" she is currently working on, as well as an arrangement of "Softly and Tenderly" that she has created for the series. She enjoys writing music for others as well as creating a story for your next video/film/etc. through music.
About the Music
"Graffiti" was written and released in 2020 and aims to address the deep pain we sometimes try to cover. The song was written at a time in Katherine's life when she realized she needed to break down the walls she had put up before she could fully heal.
"The King is Here" was written at the height of the covid-19 pandemic and encourages people to have hope and press on through trial because God remains sovereign through it all.
"Jealous" captures the heart of a 16-year-old girl who is realizing she can be independent of a relationship and that her jealousy of seeing him with another girl should not consume her.
"99" is the first worship song Katherine released back in 2018. It captures the heart of a shepherd who always pursues the one.
"Secret" reflects the double lives we often try to live as believers and how exhausting it can be to live a secret. It examines the freedom we can have when we choose to live in the light.
"What a Beautiful Name" made popular by Hillsong worship, encompasses the beauty and awe of the Savior Jesus. This powerful ballad reflects the truth and impact of the name of Jesus.
"Ghost", co-written with Matthew Allan, discovers the feeling of invisibility one can experience when they are interested in someone who seemingly doesn't know they exist.
